I can not begin to express my gratitude for The South Bay Pioneers. I moved into the sober living apartments after completing 10 months in a residential treatment program. I have to admit I was afraid to leave my program with fear I would not be able to stay sober on my own. Living at South Bay Pioneers has allowed me to transition back into society. I am able to be self sufficient while still having the support of recovery all around me. While here, I have served on the women's auxiliary, maintained employment and have been given the opportunity to restore the relationships with my children and family. The convenience of daily meetings and the support of all the great people I have met here has helped me build a solid foundation for myself. I am confident that when I leave here I will have gained the tools I need to live life of life's terms "Clean and Sober!" Thank you South Bay Pioneers!

The South Bay Pioneers gave me a place and a chance to start my life over and quite frankly it was a chance that I did not deserve. I was given the opportunity to take responsibility for my recovery. They provided a roof over my head, food and constructive compassion. Living there was no walk in the park however the structure and emphasis on personal responsibility through the twelve steps was exactly what I needed. I can honestly say that many years later I would not be where I am today had it not been for the Grace of God and the South Bay Pioneers’.
