The Pioneer House is a Men’s Recovery Home whose focus is to provide a structured sober living environment (transitional) where our residents can focus on their recovery from alcoholism and other addictions. While residing here all residents are required to attend a set number of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, to follow all house rules of which there are many, to be gainfully employed in tax paying jobs, and to participate in all house functions as required. All residents are subject to drug and alcohol screening on demand for their entire length of stay.
Program Eligibility
The main house is open to adult male alcoholics with a desire to stop drinking and a willingness to follow our direction.
Intake interviews are conducted between 9am and 11am Monday-Friday with out exception. Potential applicants are required to review our rules and if agreeable to our terms may apply for residency. Upon completion of a face to face interview with one of our staff it will be determined if the applicant is eligible. Eligible applicants will either be admitted or placed on our interest list and encouraged to follow up on availability of bed space.
It should be noted that rarely is a person admitted immediately as demand far exceeds space.
The Joseph F. Cody sober living apartments, also known as the ¾ house are available to male residents transitioning from the main house and to females who have completed and are transitioning from other programs in the community. Both male and female residents must have achieved a minimum of six months of continuous sobriety, be gainfully employed and actively participating in 12 step recovery.
Application process for females is the same as mentioned above. |
