This proud extension of the South Bay Pioneers consists of 18 one bedroom units located at the east end of the property. These units are completely furnished, gas and electric are provided, and there are laundry facilities on the grounds. Residents pay a nominal fee. This housing is for men (12 units) and women (6 units). This is a unique concept as it allows for individuals seriously interested in changing their lives to mainstream back into society to once again become useful citizens.
Residents from the Halfway House may request a transfer to the sober living apartments after meeting certain criteria. Women with six months or longer sobriety may also petition for residency.The maximum length of stay at this facility is two years. During their residency, tenants are encouraged to participate in AA meetings and volunteer their time assisting with chores and social events held at the Pioneer House. |
